New Character Profile Grading Rubric
Note: If any category receives a score of 0 or 1, the entire application fails.
Category 1: Roleplay Skill: This category focuses on the applicant’s skill of RP (roleplay) and the quality of the character they create.
Score of 6: Perfect roleplay. The RP is this application is simply amazing, and the writing is at a professional quality.
Score of 5: Amazing roleplay. The RP in this application has created a perfect character, one that will effortlessly work with the story.
Score of 4: Great roleplay. The RP in this application has created a great character, but there are some confusions that could be resolved.
Score of 3: Good roleplay. The RP has created a good character, but there are more than a few confusions in the profile
Score of 2: Okay roleplay. The RP could be much, much better, and the character created has many confusions.
Score of 1: Poor roleplay: Unacceptable, and needs to be redone. There are many, many confusions in the character that has been created.
Score of 0: The character created is so weak that it the profile needs to be failed.
Category 2: English Language: This category focuses on the applicant’s spelling and grammar.
Score of 5: Impeccable spelling and grammar. If you spent your time going through it, you would find at most 1 mistake.
Score of 4: Great spelling and grammar. If you spent your time going through it, you would find at most 2 mistakes.
Score of 3: Good spelling and grammar. If you spent your time going through it, you would find at most 4 mistakes.
Score of 2: Okay spelling and grammar. If you spent your time going through it, you would find at most 6 mistakes.
Score of 1: Poor spelling and grammar. If you spent your time going through it, you would find more than 7 mistakes.
Score of 0: Terrible spelling and grammar. More than 7 grammatical/spelling mistakes in the application.
Category 3: Originality: This category focuses on how original the character is.
Score of 5: Completely original, the character is definitely not copied from another character, including appearance.
Score of 4: Very original, there are very few hints of the character being copied from another character.
Score of 3: Original, but there are some hints of the character being copied from another character.
Score of 2: Somewhat copied, there are a few clear indicators that the character has been copied.
Score of 1: Completely copied, there are sections that are most definitely copied.
Score of 0: The entire character has been copied from another source.
Category 4: Believability: How believable your character’s story is.
Score of 5: Completely believable. Everything makes sense.
Score of 4: Very believable. Most of the story makes sense.
Score of 3: Believable, but some parts are ridiculous.
Score of 2: Semi-unbelievable, some parts are definitely ridiculous.
Score of 1: Not believable, the character has done some impossible things.
Score of 0: Completely unbelievable, the character has done all impossible things.
Category 5: Word Count: How many words are in this application.
Score of 6: Unbelievable Word Count: 4,000+ words in the profile.
Score of 5: Amazing Word Count. 3,000+ words in the profile.
Score of 4: Great Word Count: 2,000+ words in the profile.
Score of 3: Good Word Count: 1,000+ words in the profile.
Score of 2: Acceptable Word Count: 500+ words in the profile.
Score of 1: Unacceptable Word Count: 500- words in the profile.
Score of 0: Completely Unacceptable Word Count: 100- words in the profile.
Total up the applicant’s score to get their rank.
Total of 10-11: 4-100
Total of 12-13: 4-0
Total of 14-15: 3-100
Total of 16-17: 3-0
Total of 18-19: 2-100
Total of 20-21: 2-0
Total of 22-23: 1-100
Total of 24-25: 1-0
